Shift-on is a feature rich application that is designed by health care providers, Agency operators and agency workers who require a seamless connection between their respective entities. The Health Units require agency staff to bridge staff shortfalls on a daily basis. In order to do this efficiently the Unit calls multiple Agencies for staff. The Agency call upon their staff pool until they get cover. This process is a labour intensive process for the unit and the Agency as they refer to contact books to try and find the Agency and the staff. Shift-on is simply designed to make this process seamless and extremely efficient using functionality that the industry said they needed.
